Objective

The project aimed at assisting the Kosovo (UNSCR 1244/99) institutions, namely the Ministry of Infrastructure, Railways Regulatory Authority and Kosovo Railways, in participating as contracting parties in the Transport Community in the Southeastern Europe, thus integrating Kosovo's transport network in the regional transport markets, in compliance with the EU acquis.

Results

Based on the identification and prioritization of international conventions and organizations in road transport sector where Kosovo could become member/party, and further analysis of benefits of accession, membership conditions and obstacles-particularly for the INTERBUS Agreement, recommendations were provided to support international recognition of Kosovo’s driving licenses through enhanced cooperation with key international bodies.
