Objective

Provision of an overview of the status of residential prosumers in the EU - defined as regular households that both consume and produce renewable energy - by examining their current role, regulatory environment, challenges, and opportunities within the evolving EU energy market. The study aimed to support the European Commission with evidence-based insights to guide policy development in this area.

Results

National report mapping the regulatory framework in Romania, describing and assessing the legal and regulatory context for the conditions for residential prosumer generating energy based on RES. The report provided a comprehensive overview to support policy improvements and enhance the integration of residential prosumers into the national energy system.
