Objective

To conduct a feasibility study and provide a techno-economic justification for implementing an intellectual monitoring system for oil pipelines and associated facilities using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), in accordance with Kazakh standards (СП РК 1.02-21-2007) and regulatory requirements. The study aimed to assess technical, economic, legal, and institutional viability and propose an optimal solution for Kazakhstan’s oil transport operator (KTO).

Results

Savvy delivered a comprehensive feasibility study covering UAV market analysis, financial and economic analysis (CBA), legal and institutional review (including UAV flight regulations), project management schemes, and risk and SWOT analysis. It also proposed implementation options, stakeholder coordination frameworks, and quantified the security and economic benefits of the UAV system. The feasibility study was presented in Russian and English languages.
