Objective

The goal of the project was to improve competitiveness of selected SME and capacity of their management by providing recommendations and technical assistance on the strategy, institutional and regulatory framework, and implementation approach for the establishment and operation of Supplier Development Service (SDS).

Results

The assignment laid the full institutional, regulatory, and operational groundwork for the successful establishment of the SDS. A comprehensive draft Strategy for the establishment of the SDS was developed, together with Action plan detailing key implementation steps, responsible actors, and performance indicators for effective rollout; Defined regulatory and institutional setup outlining the legal basis and governance model required to ensure SDS functionality and accountability. Terms of Reference and procurement strategy were delivered.
