Objective

Provision PIDG with a comprehensive “blueprint” for ensuring H&S is at the top of the PIDG agenda and that H&S management systems at the project level are adequate and effective.

Results

The Health and Safety Review provided PIDG with a comprehensive assessment of its H&S framework, including the effectiveness of reporting structures, oversight mechanisms, and the implementation of IFC’s Performance Standard 2 across all levels. It evaluated the adequacy of controls, policies, and procedures for managing H&S risks, both internally and through third-party service providers. The review resulted in a detailed “blueprint” and cost estimates for strengthening the application of H&S standards, enhancing monitoring and reporting practices, and implementing consistent internal H&S audits across the organization.
