2nd International Excellence School

The 2nd International Excellence School dedicated to Intersectoral cooperation, technology transfer and innovation was successfully held in Batumi between July 5-7. Host Universities of the 3-day event were Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University and Batumi State Maritime Academy.

The Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Nodar Papukashvili welcomed the audience and admitted that the Excellence School will help young scientists and researchers to formulate effective cooperation strategies and develop innovative approaches through multi-sector partnerships, increasing both their competitiveness and the degree of internationalization of universities. The 2nd international excellence school was attended by 30 local and international students. Among the keynote speakers there were Dr. Tamar Sanikidze, Executive Director of Georgia Innovation, Inclusion and Quality Project, Prof Merab Khalvashi, Rector of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Capt. Murtaz Devadze, Rector of Batumi State Maritime Academy as well as Prof Adam Dubis, Prof Abel Nyamapfene, Prof Tatiana Fumasoli from University College London.
